Celebrate Earth Day with Disneynature’s Born in China – In Theaters Now! Plus some Printables. #DisneySMMC

I had the privilege of watching Born in China during the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration a few months back and I have to say it was an amazing film. It’s a documentary you don’t wanna miss.  Plus, if you see Born in China during opening week, Disneynature will make a donation in your honor to the World Wildlife Fund to help wild pandas and snow leopards.

Born in China is directed by the accomplished Chinese filmmaker Lu Chuan, produced by Disney’s Roy Conli and renowned nature filmmakers Brian Leith and Phil Chapman and narrated by John Krasinski.  They all came together to bring us one of the most fantastic views of three animal families in China that we would have never seen otherwise.
Disneynature’s new True Life Adventure film “Born In China” takes us on a spectacular journey into the wilds of China where few people have ever ventured. The film transports audiences to some of the world’s most extreme environments to witness wildly intimate moments in the lives of three animal families. A giant panda bear mother, who guides her growing baby as she begins to explore and seek independence. A two-year-old golden snub-nosed monkey, displaced by his new baby sister, joins up with a group of free-spirited outcasts. And a mother snow leopard—an ambiguous animal rarely seen by human eyes—faces the very real drama of raising her two cubs in one of the harshest and most unforgiving environments on Earth.
“Born in China” features some stunning, never-before-seen imagery, the film navigates China’s vast terrain—from the frigid mountains to the heart of the bamboo forest—on the wings of red-crowned cranes, seamlessly tying the extraordinary tales together.

According to director Lu Chuan, Born in China is a story of life and death. In China, death is not the end of life, it’s another beginning.  Wildlife has many beginnings, and that’s exactly what the filmmakers achieved in the movie.

As attendees of the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration, we were also privileged at hearing Roy Conli talk about the film at one of the Q&A panels at Disney.  He was simply amazing. Listening him speak about the film made me even more excited to view the film again with a whole new perspective.
