In just a few short days, it will be 2015. I’m still in shock how 2014 went by so quick. It’s like I blinked my eye and poof, it’s the end of the year. I’m not one to make New Year’s Resolutions because I can rarely keep them. Instead, I say I will try to eat healthier. I will try to treat people better. I will try to be less stressed. And so on. You get the gist. 😉

Somos FIOSEvery year since 2006, I make it a point to see my favorite movie of all time, The Holiday, right before the new year. It’s one of those movies that put me a in great mood and it makes me feel like the new year will be just that — new.

I love the cast of The Holiday. Jack Black is awesome. Love his humor. Kate Winslet is another actress I love. She’s gorgeous, she plays THE perfect part in most of her movies and I just enjoy watching her on the big screen. Cameron Diaz is “Da bomb”! Love all her movies!! Last but not least Jude Law. He’s such a cutie! In The Holiday, Jude and Cameron make such a good couple. I could watch them for hours!

About The Holiday:

In Nancy Meyers’ The Holiday, a romantic comedy from the director of Something’s Gotta Give and What Women Want, two women trade homes only to find that a change of address can change their lives. Iris (Kate Winslet) is in love with a man who is about to marry another woman. Across the globe, Amanda (Cameron Diaz), realizes the man she lives with has been unfaithful. Two women who have never met and live 6000 miles apart, find themselves in the exact same place. They meet online at a home exchange website and impulsively switch homes for the holiday. Iris moves into Amanda’s L.A. house in sunny California as Amanda arrives in the snow covered English countryside. Shortly after arriving at their destinations, both women find the last thing either wants or expects: a new romance. Amanda is charmed by Iris’ handsome brother Graham (Jude Law) and Iris, with inspiration provided by legendary screenwriter Arthur (Eli Wallach), mends her heart when she meets film composer Miles (Jack Black).

If you have yet to see this film, you’re missing out!! If you’re into romantic comedies aka Chick Flicks, then SEE IT NOW!!

Verizon FiOS makes it extremely easy to rent movies.  Whether you rented your preferred movie from your iPad or DVR, you’re able to view it anywhere.  Verizon gives you a full 24 hours to watch the full movie and a full 30 days to store the movie in your library if you decide to save it for a “rainy day.”

Good thing I still had my free rental from Verizon FiOS. I used it especially for The Holiday. Come to think of it, I should just invest in purchasing the movie instead since I make it a point to see it every Christmas.  But nevertheless, I had Verizon to cure my movie craving.

If you’re a Verizon FiOS customer, you already know that you can rent virtually any movie at anytime from their On-Demand list. If not, then just do a search for the movie you are looking for and you may very well find what you’re looking for.
