Throw Back Thursday: Halloween Edition #tbt #Halloween

Does anyone post #tbt on their blogs nowadays? I haven’t noticed any. I usually see them on Instagram but I decided to post it on the ol’ blog since I rarely post personal stuff anymore (that will change!).

As I was looking thru old photos, I found several photos I took from my mom’s house that I had planned to scan onto my computer.

Here’s what I found:

This is me as Wonder Woman.

I was in first grade. Wonder Woman was my idol at the time so naturally I thought I was bad! I remember when my mom bought this costume for me. She purchased it at Alexander’s on the corner of Fordham Road and Grand Concourse in the Bronx. She did most of our clothes shopping there especially for back-to-school. I have so many good childhood memories just from that store alone.

Here’s another photo I found. Can you guess what I was dressed as? Lol

From the look of it I bet you couldn’t tell. I didn’t plan on dressing up for Halloween til my dad came downstairs dressed as a inmate and my sister was a cute witch.

For some strange reason, I was supposed to be dressed as a Hobo. I took whatever I thought would look foolish and old and added a crazy wig.

I look at it now and I laugh because I clearly look like I didn’t know what I was doing.

I didn’t. 😉

But anyhow, those were the good ol’ days.

On another note, I miss my Dad. He would act silly and just go with the flow whenever he was with us. Loved that about him. He was such a good hearted person who cared about everyone who crossed his path. I miss him dearly but I’m grateful for these memorable and heartwarming memories.
