Some of Our Favorite Shows on Netflix #StreamTeam

Disclosure: This post is sponsored by Netflix as a part of my participation on the Netflix Stream Team. All opinions are always my own.

I first became a Netflix customer back in 1998 and I’m happy to say that Netflix will continue to be in my life for a very long time. Back in the late 90’s, I would get super excited knowing that a Netflix mailer was waiting in my mailbox because I knew that night would quickly become movie night.

I love me some movie nights at home!

The only thing I hated was the wait. Ugh – it felt like it was eternity waiting for the next movie to arrive. I would try so hard to finish the movie the same night (I tend to fall asleep on movies) so that I could receive the next movie on my queue.

Well folks, that was back “in the days.” Now, there’s no need to “wait.” With their awesome streaming abilities, you can start watching your favorite shows or movies in seconds. I’ve been able to start on a few great shows I didn’t know existed. Shows like Sons of Anarchy, Scandal, The House of Cards and Once Upon A Time are a few my hubby and I started watching because of Netflix. Those shows are truly addicting and so incredibly good! The minute those shows are on, my husband and I are like, “Kids, go to your room and leave mommy and daddy alone so we can watch our shows.” And usually they leave us alone. They’re older now so it’s easier to get them to do something on their own.

The best part about Netflix is that we all have our own profiles too. When hubby and I are watching shows together, we’ll go on his profile and watch The House of Cards or Once Upon a Time. Some days when the hubby and I can’t agree on a show or a movie to watch, we’ll go to different rooms to watch our own shows. I like to see reruns of How I Met Your Mother and That 70’s Show. He’s more of a Breaking Bad or Hells on Wheels kind of guy.

My little one gets a kick out of having her profile on Netflix too. She’s been overly obsessed with shows like, Disney’s Jessie, Good Luck Charlie and Arthur reruns. She can always find something to watch when she’s not playing basketball on the driveway or doing some fun art project for school.

My teenage daughter recently started watching Gossip Girl and she just can’t stop! She’s obsessed with that show. She also loves to watch Cake Boss, Pokémon and The Secret Life of the American Teenager. She’s also into chick flicks – just like her mom! 😉

My 17-year-old son loves documentaries. He recently saw Blackfish and couldn’t stop talking about it. He’s also into a variety of movies. He’ll watch westerns, comedies, old episodes of The Office and sometimes a few chick flicks here and there. 😉

The bad thing about having profiles for everyone in the household is that my kids tend to bicker about who’s gonna watch Netflix next. It’s always a battle but we always figure something out.

Like I said before, I don’t think I could ever be without Netflix. We all love Netflix. It saves us money, it keeps us safe at home and it keeps us together….as a family. 😉
