{Review} Wellness Brewed K-Cup Packs #YourPerfectCup

New year, new resolutions – isn’t that the norm with practically everyone once the old year is over? I used to make New Year’s resolutions but I stopped. I noticed I wasn’t keeping them (it was usually lose weight & eat right) and it got annoying. I was frustrated with myself for not sticking it through so I will not make any New Year’s resolutions.

I will say that I did vow to make better choices to start incorporating more fruits and vegetables into mine and my family’s diet and to forgo (try) the junk foods (especially with my youngest). And I’ve gotta say it hasn’t been THAT bad. My favorite healthy snacks are baby carrots with ranch dressing and oranges. My family likes bananas and pretzels (instead of greasy potato chips). I do tend to crave and eat chocolate but I’ve started eating dark chocolate and oh my goodness – it’s so good.

So when Green Mountain Coffee sent me a package with samples of their Wellness k-cups, I was very excited! The folks over at Green Mountain Coffee Roasters believe that in a world where wellness should be balanced with goodness, comes a celebration of smart choices and great taste. The new Wellness Brewed™ K-Cup® packs are the perfect combination of both, from brands we all know and love such as Green Mountain Coffee®, Celestial Seasonings®, and Vitamin Burst®.

Wellness Brewed K-Cups

Let’s talk about coffee first.

There are two coffee k-cup packs in the Wellness Collection, which are also Fair Trade Certified. The Antioxidant blend was really good. It’s a medium roast so it’s perfect for that first cup of coffee in the morning. And you know what? I could not tell the difference between a regular k-cup and the antioxidant blend k-cup so that’s a huge plus. The focus blend tasted yummy as well. Each k-cup contains 50mg of L-Theanine and is a medium roast. With the focus blend k-cup, I was wondering if I was able to focus more during the day but with work being so hectic and busy, I couldn’t tell the difference but I’m sure if I was drinking a cup while blogging, I would’ve been able to focus better. Both blends were equally delicious.

And now onto the Green Teas K-cup® packs.

I’m not much of a green tea drinker but with the flavors of blood oranges, blackberries, pomegranate and star fruit, these k-cups were refreshing and very tasty. Both blends contain green tea leaves and potent green tea extract which are two natural sources of flavonoid antioxidants. Mix it with yummy fruits and vitamin C, it’s the ultimate cup of free radical fighting goodness! I chose to brewed these k-cups over ice and they were splendid. I’ve got to get more of these for the upcoming summer months.

Last, but not least, Vitamin Burst® K-cup packs.

The Vitamin Burst k-cup packs are a favorite in my house. My girls love this stuff. When I made a cup to try, they were right behind me wanting a taste. The verdict was unanimous – Strawberry Pomegranate was our favorite from the two. Although the Acai Berry was refreshingly good, we are strawberry lovers so we had to choose the Strawberry Pomegranate k-cup. With Summer coming up, I’m sure we’ll store LOTS of Vitamin Bursts in my new storage drawer.
