“Twenty Years. Two People. One Day.”
To help celebrate the August release of the new Anne Hathaway movie One Day, which opens nationwide on August 19th, KODAK is hosting a contest on the KODAK Facebook page. Share a photo of your one perfect day for a chance to win a trip for two to Paris, France and great KODAK products.
The contest officially kicked off on August 4th and goes on until August 15th, which is the last day to submit your photos.
Here’s a synopsis of the movie:
After one day together – July 15th, 1988, their college graduation – Emma Morley (Academy Award nominee Anne Hathaway) and Dexter Mayhew (Jim Sturgess of Across the Universe) begin a friendship that will last a lifetime. She is a working-class girl of principle and ambition who dreams of making the world a better place. He is a wealthy charmer who dreams that the world will be his playground.
For the next two decades, key moments of their relationship are experienced over several July 15ths in their lives. Together and apart, we see Dex and Em through their friendship and fights, hopes and missed opportunities, laughter and tears. Somewhere along their journey, these two people realize that what they are searching and hoping for has been there for them all along. As the true meaning of that one day back in 1988 is revealed, they come to terms with the nature of love and life itself.

sounds authenic
I think it sounds okay but it’s a little weird to listen to at first since I’m not used to it! I would love to see it though! I love Anne Hathaway and I’ve heard great things about the book. 🙂
It sounds authentic.
I think it sounds a bit odd.
it sounded authentic to me.
i’m on the fence on her accent. it doesn’t quite sound right to me. but then again, there are a lot of regional variations in the british accecnt (just as with the american accent) so maybe it’s spot on for somewhere over there. who knows?
I think It sounds authentic.
It sounds a little American to me. I think it could use a little work.
It doesn’t sound authentic, but it doesn’t sound terrible either. It could definitely use some work. Like others have mentioned, she still sounds quite American at times. Either way, it looks like a cute movie!
I think Anne Hathaways’ accent does not sound authentic, but it’s better than I could ever do.

i think Anne Hathaway does a pretty good job, this isn’t her first movie where she had a british accent. She’s pretty talented actress 🙂
cool
I think it sounds a little fake but I generally love Anne Hathaway and wonder if I’m being a little critical just because I’m not used to her with an accent. Still looks like a good movie.
Sounds pretty good.
I don’t think it sounds that good. My husband wants to know why they have people doing fake accents when they could hire someone with a real one.
I’m 50/50. I think part of it sounds authentic and part of it too American.
This movie looks amazing! I hope to see it! 🙂

i think there are times when her accent is legit but at other times it isn’t as realistic.
I love anne and her accent is authentically beautiful 🙂
it does not sound like any British accent I have ever heard before ( and I have lived in England)
It defenitly sounds strange
Sounds ok I guess
Accent not bad. No worse than English actors playing Americans, actually.
Its really great and authentic she gave it a great try!! Go anne 🙂
it sounds good
Does not sound authentic.
it’s Ok but not really authentic.
Sounds authentic to me 🙂
I think it sounds a little odd – not quite authentic.

It sounds wiers
I love Anne Hathaway but that accent doesn’t work for me. Loved the book, though, and can’t wait to see the movie.
Honestly? It’s not too hard to have that type of accent. I know it would take practice, but I hear a lot of people try to have that accent.
With Hathaway? I think it sounds authentic. Everyone knows that she doesn’t have that accent but it just shows how even more talented she is. I never thought she would be a part of a movie that makes her have an accent. But I like it! 😀
it is authentic sounding
pretty good
I don’t think it sounds good but I give her props…she did a lot better than I could do! I really liked this book & am excited to see the movie!
I think it sounded pretty authentic..Love her! The movie looks great!
Thank you for the chance to win!

I think her accent is plausible!

When I focus on the accent it sounds a tiny bit odd, but when I’m caught up in the romantic story, I’m sure it will be fine.

Her accent sounds way fake. But it looks like a good chic flick.
I think it sounds pretty authentic.
Thanks for the giveaway!
I’d give it a 5. It’s not horrible and not great either. It didn’t sound consistent sometimes she sounded like her usual self.
i don’t like the accent
I think her accent sounds authentic! I’m so excited to see this, it looks great!
