Secret Santa with T.J. Maxx & Marshalls

It’s been a long time since I participated in Secret Santa. I remember in college, my friends and I got together and we decided on playing Secret Santa one year to save some money.  We agreed on having $10 as the limit. We placed all the names of the girls participating in a hat and each of us chose one name each. When it was time to give each other gifts, some of us knew who their Secret Santa was already.  It was a lot of fun.

Recently, RocketXL contacted me and asked if I wanted to par take in this year’s Secret Santa with T.J. Maxx/Marshalls so I jumped at the chance. It sounded like fun and I couldn’t wait to go shopping at one of my favorite stores. I have both T.J. Maxx and Marshalls close by so I grab my gift card and headed out to T.J. Maxx (I LOVE their Homegoods section).

As usual, T.J. Maxx has tons of gifts for everyone in the family so you won’t go out of the store empty-handed. I do have to be honest and say that when I went in, I was a bit overwhelmed.  Why? Because I love something in every department so it can be quite difficult to choose only one item.  T.J. Maxx has almost anything you can think of at unbeatable prices. I went to the purse department first and fell in love with a few purses but then I thought about the person that will be receiving the gift (I did a bit of research first by going to the blogger’s site and tried to get to know her before hand and seems like an awesome person) and so I kept looking around.

The blogger that I was paired with was Crissy from Dear Crissy. By the look of her and her blog (her baby is ADORABLE!), I knew right away she was the girly-girl type and I couldn’t have been any more happier. A girly-girl, just like me. So I went over to the beauty department and again I was in love. I ended up buying her a very nice, prestige mineral makeup set with high quality brushes by Borghese.

The gift would’ve easily cost well over $80 if I had bought it at a department store but since T.J. Maxx sells items at unbelievable prices, I was able to buy it for under $50.

Can you believe that?

So I made my way to the cashier and paid for the beauty set and went home. I wrapped it in a beautiful metallic gold wrapping paper and shipped it the next day.

She emailed me and told me that she received it a few days ago and loved the gift set. What can I say – I know girly-girls. She sent me a gift card which was perfectly fine with me. I am one who loves gift cards (hint, hint anyone). I haven’t gone shopping yet but I’m sure I’ll find something really nice for myself so thank you Crissy. This blogger absolutely LOVES gift cards.

Also a huge thanks to RocketXL and Tjmaxx/Marshalls for choosing me to participate in this year’s Secret Santa. I had a blast!

Disclosure: I was provided with a $50 gift card to shop at T.J. Maxx/Marshalls through RocketXL. No other compensation was given.
