Thursday’s Recipe

Wordless Wednesday

This picture was taken last Wednesday when I took the kiddies to the Bronx Zoo. They have this new exhibit called Discover Madagascar.  It is absolutely amazing.  I have more pics to post on my blog but this picture of the Hissing Cockroaches really disgusted me when I saw it in person.  So that is why it is my wordless pic of the day.  My 3 year old didn't even want to get close to them, even though there was glass protecting us. Starbucks is closing?

Well, not all of its stores but they do have plans to close about 600 stores due to the economy.  If you remember this post, then you already know that I've been on a strike.  I haven't visited a Starbucks for over six months and I don't miss a thing.  I'm sorry but their prices are crazy for something I can make at home for the fraction of the cost.  I am on a budget and I can't see myself spending $4 for a latte that I may not enjoy anyway, you know what I mean.  I do … [Read more...]

Size does matter!

LOL.. I hope you didn't take your mind to the gutter with that one.. Just kidding.  I'm really talking about food here.  Has anyone noticed food is really smaller?  I've been reading about it everywhere on the web.  So when I went to my local Stop and Shop last night,  I noticed that the food items are indeed smaller but the prices are still the same.  I'm wondering, are these manufacturers trying to fool the consumers?  I know things are hard now because of … [Read more...]
