My weekend…

was ok.  On Independence Day, I stood home and did laundry.  At night, I heard some fireworks from my neighbor’s house and saw some too.  For some reason, I didn’t want to go out. I didn’t want to deal with crowds, rowdy people or any bugs.

On Saturday, we did have some friends over.  It turned out to be a really fun day.  We had a great time.  Our kids played, we laughed and talked, had a couple of beers and just enjoyed the day.  The best part of the day was that hubby did most of the cooking.  I usually do all the cooking but I didn’t feel like cooking that day.  He cooked food on the grill while I chatted with my friend.  Best thing ever!  We had a wonderful meal too.  We ate T-Bone steaks, grilled chicken, burgers, hot dogs, fresh corn on the cob and roasted potatoes.  Yum-o!  I was so stuffed after I ate that I just wanted to hit my bed and go right to sleep.  I didn’t though.  After about an hour, hubby pulled out some fireworks that we saved from last year (we bought them from PA, shhhh and the kids had a ball.  They left around 9:30pm and we just hung around for another hour watching TV until we fell asleep on the couch.

So, how was your weekend?  Did you do anything exciting?
