I have a 3 year old that speaks pretty well for her age. You can understand what she says, most of the time. When she says words that don’t sound right, I try to correct her and get kind of upset when she says it the right way. You see, I love when kids her age say things the “wrong” way. I think it is so cute. Even though I do want her to speak proper English, she is my last baby and she’ll learn the right way eventually.
Here is what she is saying now:
Baby soup – Bathing suit
Meet-Sa – Pizza
Eet-Meal – Oatmeal
Draff – Giraffe
Lello – Yellow
Berry – Very
I don’t want that for my neck. – I don’t want that in my mouth. (Veggies or anything that has a creamy sauce like pastas).
Elimy – Emily (her friend)
Aminal – Animal
Does the Berry Lello Draff wear a Baby Soup and like Meet-Sa ?
I think it’s cute too. My son says “hebo” for hello. He’ll pick up his toy cell phone and pretend to talk and he’s laughing into the phone then get’s all serious and says “hebo?” like he lost the call. lol! he says the few words that he can say pretty well. shoes sounds like he says it with an accent. and he says gram crack instead of graham cracker. or gram gram. But he’s only 16 months. 🙂
