This is usually called “Works for me Wednesday” but this time it’s what DOESN’T work for you, which is another clever idea.
Here is what doesn’t work for us:
*Hovering over my kids during activities or games. It always backfires. So instead, I let them do the crafts or play any game however they want; with the rules of course. It happens with my 3 year old, especially. She has two older siblings and she wants to be independent like them. She hates when I help her so I just leave her alone. It keeps me sane and relaxed and at the same time they’re having fun. So even though I love to “hover” over my kids so that I can help them, I rather just read a book on the side while they play.
*In reference to this post, I now understand that Slow Cookers are not for everyone. I made some beef stew with carrots and potatoes a few days after I bought the Slow Cooker when I realized that cooking in those things are not meant for everyone, especially for me. I rather cook a meal in my grill outside. It has a side burner and I know when the food is done unlike the Slow Cooker where I have no idea what temperature it is and how long to cook the food. I think it’s too much work. If it works for you, than more power to you because it doesn’t work for me.
*I know #20 stated they disliked the self-checkout and I want the world to know that I hate them too. They just don’t work for me. There is always a problem with the scanning and if I have the items laying on the conveyor belt too long, it beeps and the items comes back to me so that I could scan it again.. I don’t like to go grocery shopping so to re-scan items constantly does NOT work for me. I love the cashiers; they’re quicker and faster than me.
