It was a beautiful 68 degrees today. In my opinion, that is perfect weather. The sun feels warm on your skin, the air is cool and the Lilac trees are in full bloom. I love this time of year because of the lilacs. I love when I walk by them, I could smell the aroma of lilacs in the air. They smell so good and so sweet. They’re one of my favorite flowers.

Washington News: May 12-17 is the official Lilac Week for all the Washington residents in the Spokane area. If you love the smell of Lilacs like me, you’ll be happy to know they are having a Lilac Festival Parade. You can see the Queen and Princesses and all of the glittering floats. They will also have a special salute for the soldiers for Armed Forces Day.

We actually are having a lilac festival this week. It started May 11 and going through the 18th. It’s one of our biggest festivals.
We are also known for our lilacs. Martha Stewart came up one year and left with a truckload!
