Are we ready for this?

Dr. Kimberly James, Thomas and Nancy's doctor    Thomas is pregnant with his first child.

Just by looking at this person, you would think he was a man, right? Well, that’s what I thought until I saw the show last night on Oprah.  He looks like a man, he walks like a man, he talks like a man and he even has male features.  Then if he is not a man, then what is he?  He is a transgender male.  He was born a girl but lives his life as a man and takes testosterone injections to appear like a male.

Check him out as a female:

Tracy as a beauty pageant contestant Pretty, uh?

When he was a teen, he went into modeling and was even in a beauty pageant.  He was a Miss Hawaii Teen USA finalist.  He said he felt like he was being pushed into these things by his father.

In 2002, he opted to have his breasts surgically removed and legally become a man BUT he did decide to keep his female reproduction organs because he knew that one day, he wanted to have a child.

If you read the message boards, you will see there are a lot of people that don’t agree with what he is doing.   What do you think?  Are they doing the right thing or should people just turn their heads away from their life and let them live their life as they want?

Nancy and Thomas

In my opinion, if they are happy and are not hurting anyone, why make a big deal out of it.  If they want to live that way, let them be.  Who are we to judge anyway?  Life is about being different, about being happy and that is exactly what I see when I look at them.

  1. That’s crazy! I wonder why the other woman didn’t get pregnant. I think it’s wrong that he wanted to be a man yet he still wanted to do what only women can do which is have a child. I don’t know about this one. Imagine how are they going to explain to the child about how he/she was conceived?

  2. Ummm, not sure what to think.

I read about this, they had his story on Dateline or 20/20, I recorded it but haven’t watched it yet. When I first saw I thought he was really a man who had gotten pregnant, then I thought it was a man who had changed to be woman. So I thought science is that advanced, lol. When I read the whole it finally made sense. They say he is a man who got pregnant but in reality that’s not the case, YKWI? I don’t have a problem with it, apparently he decided to get pregnant because his wife had cancer and couldn’t have children. What I do have a problem with is that he was on Oprah after being on Dateline or 20/20 and Oprah made a spectacle of the whole thing. I understand them wanting to share their story but going on Oprah was not a smart decision. That’s my opinion…
