I miss the good ol’ days of dorming when I was in college. Although I only dormed freshmen & sophomore year, I have to be honest and say that it was the best 2 years of my life. I think it’s a great experience for kids to dorm because they can learn alot about their individuality and at the same time get an education. It’s also a time when they become independent too. I know I did.
The best part about dorming was buying brand new stuff for the room such as comforters for the beds, lamps for the desk and a full-view mirror for those days I wanted to look my best.
One of my favorite places to shop for many things is Sears.com. They now have a terrific section for kids that want to get “CampusReady“. This section also helps kids and their parents with other things too.
Check out the list below:
- Interactive checklist that you can print out so you don’t forget anything.
- Sample dorm rooms so you can choose what style will fit your teen. From Funky Femme to Vintage Chic or just All Around Athlete.
- Shop for exactly what you need! Do you need a mini-refrigerator, a microwave or a new laptop for those late nights of studying?
- There’s even a “money sense” section so you can create your budget.
- And lots more!
Sears has done so much to make it easy for teens ready for college life, they’re even getting CampusReady on Facebook! Right now, they have a contest going on.
Since we all know that college can be very expensive, Sears and Upromise has joined together to give away one lucky teen $25,000 towards their college tuition.
Isn’t that great?
