Thanks to Outback, my family and I visited our local Outback this past Friday for dinner. It was very much needed and we had a great time with delicious food. We don’t usually go out to eat but when we do, Outback is usually our go-to place for some good food.
If you follow me on Twitter and Instagram (if you don’t, you should! 
), then you saw that my family and I visited Outback this past Friday for a nice family dinner. We’re no strangers to Outback. It’s our favorite place for a good steak and some sweet, luscious coconut shrimp. But we all know eating out can be very expensive, especially when you’re a family of five. So for that special occasion, you’d really want to visit Outback for a great meal. If you’re going to spend money at a restaurant, make sure it’s Outback. We’ve never had a bad meal at Outback and they treat you like you’re a star!
Here’s what was ordered
My husband and my teenage daughter ordered the Caesar Salad. The salad had the perfect amount of dressing. It was very garlicky – just the way they like it. The romaine lettuce was crisp and refreshing. It was a great starter.
I ordered my favorite: Coconut Shrimp. It’s the only appetizer I eat. I order it each and every time we eat at Outback. I tend to get a bit selfish with the shrimp because it is so good. The coconut was nicely sweetened and it was perfectly fried to a golden brown perfection.
My husband must have a manly steak with some type of vegetables. He ordered the 12oz Strip Steak that was cooked to a medium with a side order of broccoli. The steak was well-seasoned and nicely cooked. The broccoli was a bit overcooked but the flavor was also nice.
My little one ordered the kid’s Mac ‘A’ Roo ‘N Cheese with a side of fries. She states that Outback has THE BEST mac and cheese around. And she’s eaten mac and cheese from all over so she’s a bit of a pro when it comes to mac and cheese.
My teenage daughter ordered the Chicken Tender Platter. It’s her favorite meal to order at Outback and will almost always bring half of the plate home because she loves to have it for breakfast. Cold!
I had the Ribs and Chicken on the Barbie. The ribs were finger-lickin’ good and the chicken was seasoned well and very moist. As a side, I got a nice, hot baked potato. The meal was very satisfying and delicious.
My girls ordered dessert. I really don’t know how and where they fit in dessert because my husband and I were stuffed! But they had room and ordered the Cheesecake with warm Chocolate Sauce and the Spotted Dog Sundae with Oreo Crumbles. Dessert looked and smelled delectable.

I love grilled salmon with steamed broccoli. It’s healthy and taste fantastic.
I don’t eat red meat at home, so I always like to order a steak or ribs when I go to a restaurant.

I almost always choose grilled salmon of some kind.
Fried shrimp, which is always tricky since I am allergic to fish.
I am a seafood girl, it’s what I always order.
I tend to order things I can’t/don’t do at home, like fried fish and I always have to have an appetizer!
I like to have a good chicken or seafood plate.
A good juicy steak is my must have!
I like to mix it up with what I order, but I am really picky. Whenever in doubt if I’ll like the food at a restaurant I order a cheeseburger. It’s hard to miss with a cheeseburger and I love them!
I have to order some kind of pasta dish.
One meal I must have is stuffed mushrooms and a Cesar salad!
