LOL.. I hope you didn’t take your mind to the gutter with that one.. Just kidding. I’m really talking about food here. Has anyone noticed food is really smaller? I’ve been reading about it everywhere on the web. So when I went to my local Stop and Shop last night, I noticed that the food items are indeed smaller but the prices are still the same. I’m wondering, are these manufacturers trying to fool the consumers? I know things are hard now because of gas prices and everything else but they are making it harder for the working people too. There are some ways to make your dollar stretch even farther.
*Cut those coupons. I am the coupon queen in my family. I cut anything and everything. You never know when those items will be on sale. If I don’t have use for the coupon, I usually leave the coupons by the product so that someone else can save that dollar. You see, New Yorkers are really nice ![]()
*When you have those coupons cut, save them and wait until the product goes on sale. You’ll save even more. Many times you can get stuff for free.
*If you don’t have the patience to cut coupons, then wait until those items are on sale. My family knows I only buy things when they are on sale. They say sale is my middle name.
*Everyone should know this one: Don’t go food shopping when you are hungry. This is a must. Sometimes my husband goes shopping with me and he is always hungry. I have to tell him to put things back because it is always junk food like chips and cookies.
*If you have a CVS nearby, sign up for their savings card and you can get things like razors and toothbrushes almost free after coupons.
Hope that helps!
