It’s been awhile since I participated in the “Works-for-me-Wednesday”. I absolutely love these because I learn A LOT from other mommy bloggers. I love to read helpful tips for my household and kids so that my life is a little easier.
Here are a couple of things that ALWAYS works for me:
*Whenever I want the kids to relax and chill out while I clean the kitchen or cook dinner, I always put them on the table and give them Play-doh. This is something they are NOT allowed to play with any other time because they usually make a huge mess and they never want to clean up after themselves. So when I want them quiet and near me, I pull out the Play-doh so that they leave me alone to do what I have to do while I cook or clean in peace and quiet.
*I know this method was not invented by me but I love doing this with almost any type of meat. I’ve also seen Rachael Ray do it the same way on her show. I take a gallon size ziploc bag and I throw in olive oil and all the seasonings I need, swish it all around and then add the meat. I’ll add in either boneless chicken breasts or thighs, pork chops, minute steaks and even tilipia. I let it stand on my counter for at least 20 minutes and voila, the meat is well-seasoned and ready to be cooked.
So, this is what works for me. I hope it does the same for you. For more tips on anything, visit Rocks in my Dryer.
