I first discovered Zulily on Facebook when one of my blogging buddies posted a few of her great finds. I was intrigued so I messaged her to see what it was all about. Sure enough, I got an invite and the rest is history! I love Zulily. I buy items from the app every month. I also love the fact that when you purchase one item, they throw in free shipping for the next few days. You cannot beat that. So since I love Zulily so much, I wanted to share some really great news. Zulily has … [Read more...]
Last Wordless Wednesday of 2014! Happy New Year Everyone!
Guys, can you believe it? 2014 is almost over. It's bittersweet. The last year has been filled with adventures, a new job, loads of laughter, a few cries here and there and some awesome blogging opportunities thanks to you all. I'm so ready to begin 2015 fresh and new. I'm leaving all the BS behind and celebrate what's to come. For the last meal of the year, I decided to make a lasagna to help celebrate a brand new year. Here's hoping we all have a prosperous, healthy and a very … [Read more...]
The 50 Things You Never Knew About Me
When I started blogging back in 2007, memes were all the rage and I loved it. That was one of the reasons why I started blogging. To share, to document, to network with other bloggers and to just have a good time. I never thought in a million years blogging would give me awesome opportunities in working with brands, attending blog events and at times, traveling with all expenses paid. Never! But while browsing through my favorite blogs (I have TONS of favorites), I came across a fun "About … [Read more...]
Saying Good-Bye to My Favorite Disney Ornaments — Yes, My Christmas Tree is Still Up!
I know what you're thinking, why is my tree still up? Is she crazy? It's the 12th of January. But guess what? Vera from Lady and The Blog has her tree up too. So there! :) I know Christmas came and went over 18 days ago. Usually I like to keep the tree up til' after Three Kings Day even if we even if we don't officially celebrate it. It's something my mom would do when I was a kid. So I figured six days after Three Kings Day isn't too bad. Right? I'll blame work and being … [Read more...]
Last Post of The Year – Goodbye 2012, Hello 2013!
I know this blog has had many crickets these past few months. It's not my fault. I still love to blog. But it's just that I'm one tired mommy who wants to come home after a hard day's work and just spend time with my family. And the funny part is that I have about 20 titles ready for my little ol' blog so it's not like I don't have anything to say here -- I have LOTS to say. I just need time. Time is a major factor for me. I'm sure it's a major factor for everyone but some people know … [Read more...]
Blogging Can Be Exhausting When You’re a Working Mom…
It's been over twenty days since I last blogged. Every nite I think about posting about some of the great places I've been to, products that I'm obsessed with and lots of other things but life has definitely got in the way.....in a good way. It's not easy to be a full-time working mom who blogs because there's not enough hours in a day. After work, my family is my life so it's time to get dinner ready, put a load of laundry in the washing machine, making sure my little one does her … [Read more...]
With a Blink of an Eye
Whoever thought of the saying "Time Flies," is brilliant! Because that's exactly what it does -- it flies by SO QUICK! With a blink of an eye -- BOOM, it's six months later since this post. Where does the time go? The weekends definitely seem too short, especially when it's Monday and you're already wishing it were Friday. There really isn't much time to do everything you planned for during the work week. Between the cooking, the chores, laundry, homework checks -- the quality time with … [Read more...]
Ramblings: Christmas is Less Than A Week Away!
Where has the time gone? I started a full-time job on October 24th and things have gone so fast for me. Christmas is less than a week away and I'm still not done with shopping. I actually started last week on Amazon.com and bought a few things for my kids but I still would like to get some little things here and there, you know like stocking stuffers. This year, I'm taking it easy. I'm really just focusing on my kids. And to be honest, that's the way it should be once you have children … [Read more...]
Back To A Routine
Things haven't been so easy here ever since school started. Slowly but surely we are going back to a routine that works and makes everyone happy. Usually it's the kids that make it difficult to find a routine that works but I'm the one having a hard time with a routine. Funny, uh? Why is that? I'm getting a good night's sleep thanks to a great new mattress but when my kids get home from school, it's pure mayhem. I'm frazzled and got a million things on my mind and I just can't figure it … [Read more...]
Before & After Hurricane #Irene
What's going on in my life here in New York......thanks to Hurricane Irene. Rain is pouring down, as I write this. Rain has been falling since yesterday afternoon. My garage is flooded. Half of my driveway/backyard looks like a small lake. {fyi: That pipe across the driveway is a make-shift sump pump that hubby created to divert rain water. Too bad it's not working today} My husband was activated to the National Guard to help out with emergencies and possible disasters so he's … [Read more...]
