Help Your Kids See A New Side of Themselves with @Netflix #StreamTeam

Disclosure: This post is sponsored by Netflix as a part of my participation on the Netflix Stream Team. All opinions are always my own.

Growing up, I was a very shy little girl. I was never the loud, outspoken or lively-type like my little one is now except for those times I was around my family. I was more of the “quiet type.” I totally get that it can be quite difficult to come out of your shell when you’re around people you don’t know well because I’m exactly that way. As an adult now, I’m still a little uncomfortable meeting new people but I try not to let my timidness get the best of me.

Honestly, having this blog has helped me tremendously on getting over the shyness. Things like blog events, press trips, media & movie previews were ways that got me out of my shell and I’m getting better each and every time.

Movies and TV can also show kids that just because you may be quiet and shy today, that doesn’t mean you can’t be Superman tomorrow. Thanks to Netflix, I have a list of titles to help kids see a new side of themselves, even if it’s not permanent — after all, you can do anything for 10 seconds (kind words that were said by Kimmy from Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt).

It’s time to get out in the world and reinvent YOU!
