Luna Park’s Halloween Harvest @LunaParkNYC

Luna Park hosted the biggest day of its Halloween Harvest celebration yesterday.  In addition to the festive décor and costumed characters wandering the park, Luna Park welcomed Food Network star Marc Maniac and his team from Maniac Pumpkin Carvers  who created a masterpiece out of a giant pumpkin that had been on display at the park throughout the month of October.  In the weekends prior to its carving, park guests were invited to guess the weight of the giant gourd for a chance to “Win the Weight” (a cash prize in the amount of the correct weight of the pumpkin, up to $1000).Marc did an incredible job carving the gigantic pumpkin!  Check out their insane creations here.

We just stuck to painting and decorating our little pumpkin instead. 😉

Halloween Harvest visitors are encouraged to arrive dressed in their finest Halloween costumes.  From 2-6pm, trick-or-treating will be open to everyone and they will be offered family favorite sweets including Welch’s Fruit Snacks and Sour Jacks.

Free Events Happening Today:

·         Trick-or-Treating (2pm to 6pm between Electrospin and The Tickler)

·         Pumpkin Painting (all day by Balloon Expedition)

·         Caricature Illustrations (2pm to 6pm by Duck Pond, Fried Frogs and Goblet Toss)

·         Balloon Bending (2pm to 6pm around the park)

·         Performances (varies between 2pm and 6pm by Air Race)

·         Character Meet and Greets/Photo Ops (all day around the park)
