Bob the Builder Splashworks at Splashdown Beach in Fishkill, NY

Not too long ago, I was invited to a media preview at Splashdown Beach in Fishkill, NY for the unveiling of their new Bob the Builder Splashworks section.

Splashdown Beach is America’s biggest little Waterpark located approximately 90 minutes away from New York City and 90 minutes away from Albany, NY. It’s a fun adventure getaway for the whole family.

Bob the Builder Splashworks is a 1,600-square-foot Bob the Builder themed spray and play area.  It’s the first, permanent play place at any water park for Bob the Builder in North America.  I’m sure it will be a huge hit. With over 50 interactive features, including slides, geysers, dumping buckets, and much more, your child can have the best time. There’s even special guest appearances by Bob the Builder himself!

Bob the Builder Splashworks is geared towards the little ones so my independent six-year-old was thrilled to finally be able to play on her own without her mom worrying about if she’d get hurt.

Not only was she at the Bob the Builder area, she also loved spending time in the lazy river (my favorite!), the coconut pool and the best part of Splashdown Beach, the Monster Wave Pool with large waves and no sharks! 😉

My 12 year old’s favorite spot were the Cowabunga Falls. Three water slides with wild twists and turns with a splashing surprise at the end.

When you visit, come hungry because there’s an abundance of food choices at Splashdown Beach. From Nathan’s to Cosimo’s Shipwreck Grill Cafe, you are bound to find something delicious for a great price!

Here’s what Steve Turk had to say:

“During the past five years, we’ve focused our attractions on the teen and adult market. This year, we want to ensure that something fresh and exciting is provided for our younger visitors,” said Steve Turk, owner of SplashDown Beach. “It’s been a great experience working with HIT Entertainment; they are professional and passionate about their brand.”

Splashdown Beach will be open til September 5th so there’s still tons of time to have fun and get cool.

  2. Oh. My God. That looks like the funnest thing ever. Now I just have to convince a family I coach to take their kids there and to bring me along.

  3. Perfect way to spend a hot summer day! My kids love water slides. And so do I. It’s fun to be a mom sometimes.

  4. Isn’t it such a great place? We just went on Thursday and my girls loved it.

It was not hectic like some amusement parks tend to be.
